The Great Value of Backlinks

Posted by kiran | 7:27 PM

Each link has a weighted value depending on the search engine and how they deal with link valuations. As a general rule some of the following come into play;

1. Age of the link (how long it has been around) 2. Topic and/or Title of the page the link is on 3. Relevance of the content of the page 4. Freshness of the page (has the page it is on been updated) 5. Number of links on the page (some ranking systems pass a ratio of accrued value) 6. Trust (is the link from a trusted page or a suspect domain)

Link Profiles - to expand the concepts a search engine also looks at the entire portfolio of incoming links to create what we call a 'Link Profile' - with this larger global view of your backlinks they can valuate it and even apply temporal metrics such as;

1. when links appear or disappear, 2. the rate at which links appear or disappear over time, 3. how many links appear or disappear during a given time period, 4. whether there is trend toward appearance of new links versus disappearance of existing links to the document, etc.

By doing this they can assess trends and potential attempts to game the search engine by artificially inflating one's profile. Temporal factors are also important in assessing the current popularity of a site on a chronological scale.

Of course, the view on the other side of the fence is a little bit different. Many people clam up when they face the blinking curser and a blank white page. But a little bit of momentary fright is no reason to think you too can’t be a professional blogger . All it takes is some determination, some careful planning, and a willingness to share your thoughts and opinions with the world. Here are a few suggestions for jumpstarting your new career as a professional blogger.

Schedule Your Day

It might be tempting to wake up late in the morning, eat some leftover pizza and start penning your memoirs for all to see, but most professional bloggers who don’t stick to a schedule find themselves overwhelmed and distracted. Try setting specific blocks of time aside for writing. For example, if you’re a night owl, block out two hours in the evening that will be devoted to just writing, with maybe an hour before for research and an hour afterwards for final edits and revising. Any time of day will work, but a professional blogger won’t get very far if they can’t stick to a schedule.

Get Out Of The House

Don’t think that being a professional blogger means you get to sit in your underwear all day while the money rolls in. Many bloggers find they get distracted and lazy if they don’t have an office to go to, somewhere without the comforts of daytime television or repeat trips to the fridge. Finding a space designated solely for work can help you focus on the task at hand. A coffee shop or bookstore is perfect for the professional blogger because of their relative comfort, access to beverages and snacks, and free wireless Internet access.

Do Your Research

The difference between an amateur and professional blogger isn’t just the money made from blogging or the time spent writing. It’s also important to make sure you do your homework. Professional bloggers take the time to study up on their topics, reading arguments from both sides, exploring what others have said about their topic, and doing countless amounts of Google and Wikipedia searches. When you blog for a living, the worst thing you can do is get your facts wrong.

Don’t Avoid The Deadline

You might think that the life of a professional blogger is footloose and fancy-free, a life without cruel overlords demanding finished TPS reports by noon. But the truth is that professional bloggers have to live and die by the deadline, or their blogging days are numbered. Some writers handle deadlines better than others (Douglas Adams once said, “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by,” while professional blogger and copywriter Ainsley Drew loves deadlines, “'Cause I like to complain and they give me a reason to.”) but they’re an unavoidable part of writing. Keep your deadlines organized and always in sight, then meet them. The worst thing a professional blogger can do is blatantly miss a deadline and still expect their client to pay.

Just Write!

You’ve found a coffee shop to call your office, color coded your organizer for each important deadline, done your research and started the clock. What now? Now it’s time to put one word in front of another and write. Don’t let the blank page psych you out. You’re a professional blogger. Get writing.

Blogging is the new age online mantra for getting higher visibility and writing one's own mind. But did you know blogging can be a profitable option over the internet? Well! Not many people are aware of this but you can earn money by spreading your blogging interests over several revenue streams.

There are different options through which you can generate revenue in blogging and one of the most popular one is the affiliate program. Affiliate programs are quite a hit and if you are able to tie-up with affiliate programs offered by the big fish like Linkshare, Amazon, Commission Junction, and Clickbank apart from many others then you will be able to generate high revenue through your blog. All you have to do is promote different products of Amazon or Linkshare and add their link on your blog. If someone reads your blog, clicks on the link and buys the product from Amazon then you get to keep the commission. This is not a "make money now" type of program and will drive higher profits over longer periods.

Affiliate programs deliver profit over a certain time period and hence can be stated as time driven revenue opportunities. But if your blog is interesting and informative and is able to draw a lot of visitors then you will be able to make a higher profit within a short period of time. To make that happen, you need to work hard on providing high quality and relevant content with images that have visual appeal as well as relevance on your blog.

Blogs are one of the most powerful tools of self expression as well as advertising over the internet. You can do just about anything in your blog: write high quality content, provide audio or video attachments and add attractive images or graphs to make your blog post look appealing as well as keep it relevant. Over the years, blogs have also become a good source of indirect income. There are plenty of ways through which, you can generate revenue through your blog and some of them include RSS advertising.

RSS advertising is still in its nascent stage although; it has grown in leaps and bounds in the last 12 months. As compared to the other advertising options, it is not as profitable as yet but since these are early days, it will be tough to predict an outcome in the years to come. But most internet experts feel that use of RSS advertising in blogs will bring in handsome returns. Another area of earning money through blogs is sponsorship.

Apart from the various advertising programs available for bloggers, sponsorship is another in the queue that will not only add value to your business and blog but also provide the opportunity to generate income through direct advertising on your blogs. One of the recent examples of such campaigns is the ones that Adobe and Ricoh did with some of the bloggers. The only drawback is that sponsorship is available not on your blog but on a particular post and hence the income earned will only be on a post to post basis.

While improving your blog may seem like a daunting task, I will show you 6 easy tips that will improve your blog in no time at all. These are just a few of many that can accomplish this task, but are ones that I use to improve my blogs and they will work over and over again. Comment at related blogs - This is probably the biggest thing you can do to improve and promote your blog. It is very simple. Just make comments on other blogs that are related to yours. When you make a comment, it is standard to leave your name and URL. If you leave a relevant comment, maybe even with some free advice, other readers will visit your blog to see what you are all about. Write a weekly "best of" post - It is fairly simple to do. Make a weekly post that spotlights the best posts that you have read on other peoples blogs. By linking directly to the post, you create trackback links on other blogs and this will result in new readers to your blog. This is sort of works like a backwards blog comment. Be sure to link - A very important persona of your blog is the links that you provide. The more link outs you have the more your readers perceive it as more authoritative and valuable. It also shows that you are not trying to hide something and also show that you put credit where credit is due.

Improve your blog's look - Why use the same templates and designs that many other blogs are using? Use a design that is totally different than everyone else and people will remember "that cool looking blog" that they had seen earlier and come back to it. If you can not find a unique template or don't know how to change your design, consider outsourcing to have it done. Know your readers - Just because you have a blog, don't put yourself on a pedestal above everyone else. Get to know your visitors by responding to their comments, become friends with them and in return they will spread the word about you and your blog.

Create reader friendly content - Make sure that your content speaks to all of your potential audience. Make it entertaining and interesting for all to read. You want your content to be shared, if it reads like a tech manual, readers are going to give up on it let alone share it.

Remember that blogging is supposed to be fun, for you and your readers. I hope this will help you improve your blog and take it to the next level.

Website owners involved in click fraud are having their Google AdSense account terminated, sometimes wrongfully. This kind of fraud is normally present where there is money to be made easily, especially in the click for pay online business.

This fraud is the act of clicking on AdSense ads for the sole purpose of earning from Google by way of having the advertiser pay for fictitious leads. This is the huge problem that AdSense is facing today.

You can become proactive and help google to control the situation by forwarding your access logs, if you believe there is suspicious activity at your site, they will be able to spot this fraud even better than you could, which is just showing that you want to help.

You could also install a free click monitoring software to monitor activity at your site and turning this information over to google once a month. This is simply showing Google that you too are totally against click fraud. Check all your logs for any suspicious activities and report your findings in a timely manner.

Consider disabling ads from your IP address through the htaccess to prevent any mistakes in clicking AdSense ads on your site.

Don't put your AdSense code on sites that use pop up advertising, illegal content, gaming or adult information. If you accidentally or intentionally click the ad to see what your viewers are seeing when they click, contact Google and tell them what happened. If you don't do this and google finds out, it means account termination for sure.

No family member should be using your computer to access your website. Chances are they may start clicking on AdSense ads indiscriminately, not knowing the grief they will be creating for you. In this case your best bet is to password protect access to your computer.

If family members accidentally find your AdSense, be sure to explain why they must not click on those ads under any circumstances. You should teach them about AdSense and what to do and not do with them.

Many pay per click networks use various security measures to protect website owners against click fraud. Most search engines will track many data points, IP address, user session information etc. They can also detect fraud using special security systems plus their specialized monitoring teams to help advertisers stop click fraud.

Fraud is Fraud, You could be prosecuted, Don't do it.

This is how one can become a Google AdSense participant.

Google AdSense is a program for web publishers that allow them to generate revenue from content they publish on the internet. Webmasters paste some JavaScript that Google provides into their web page and after the Google mediabot crawls the page advertising that is relevant to the content on the page is displayed.

The publisher is paid each time a visitor clicks one of the AdSense ads. Advertisers pay Google each time their ad is clicked and a percentage is paid to the publisher. The side of Google's advertising business that advertisers belong to is called Google Adwords.

Google publishers are paid at the end of each month if their account balance exceeds $100.00. AdSense publishers can choose to receive a check or direct deposit. What makes Google AdSense work for most anyone is the simplicity. Google publishers only need to get content up on the internet and Google does the rest.

How To Get Started With Google AdSense?

Before you can apply to be a Google AdSense publisher you must have a web site. Once you've created a basic web site you can visit www.google.com and apply to be a Google
AdSense Publisher.

The internet is very competitive when it comes to marketing your product or service. The king of connecting buyers and sellers happens to be Google.

The search engines drive buyers to sellers and helps sellers find buyers. The amount of traffic directed by Google and Yahoo is incredible. The trick is to figure out how to drive some of that traffic your way.

To get the best placement on search engines companies employ what is known as SEO tactics. SEO or search engine optimization works to get your site listed in the first two search engine pages.

Maximizing your rank and placement is what SEO is all about. The higher ranking in the search engines the more prospects that see you.

You need to legitimately work at improving your web page ranking by adding pertinent site content, usability, linking to other pertinent sites and using other tools to increase ranking.

The search engines have started using complex algorithms to keep ahead of the people that abuse the system. The giants such as Google and Yahoo will continue to improve to combat the SEO users that illegal try to obtain favorable rankings.

Entering a keyword will result in a search page that has information relevant to that keyword. The best way to drive traffic is by having your website appear on the organic search. Jupiter Media has calculated that 5 out of 6 purchases through the search engines come from organic versus the online ads.

Obviously this has made SEO very important for businesses to master.

Here are a few tips on improving content for a much more improved result in organic searches:

1. Expertise. When you set up a website make sure you are an expert. People can sense if you have no clue about what you are talking about.

2. Site Design. Have a web page that loads quickly and has an easy to use design.

3. Study the Competition You need to know who is doing what and what works, so check out the competition. Communicate with people in forums and see if you can get feedback about your web design.

4. What keywords are you going to use. When designing the web site include keywords in the metatags, copy page, page title, and file names.

5. Search engines can help you. Work with the search engines to get your site listed and ranked.

6. Keep focused. Each web page should focus on one topic.

7. Directories may be good. Directories have a lot of information stored in them and is done by a person. Joining the right directories may help you with the search engine rankings.

8. The most important aspect is linking. You will have to have links back to your site from other websites. Linking to non relevant sites will not help your ranking long term. Search engines look at how many sites link to you and will base part of their ranking on that relevant information. Do not just link to any sites make sure they are relevant to your subject.

9. Keep doing it. This is an on going process and you must continually work at improving your ranking every day.

Content is king in the search engine world so make sure the information is relevant and looks professional.

You want visitors. Visitors mean leads! Why aren't you getting them? There are lots of answers. The lack of an audience is not one of them. If the Web has demonstrated one thing, it's that there's pretty much no topic that doesn't have its share of devotees.

If your site's about a competitive topic (as it is for most businesses), it's more challenging to rise above the pack, but more rewarding, too. That's why you have to be extra careful to avoid these seven common mistakes:

Bad Coding: Your site uses outdated HTML or generally wacky code. Examples include using the bold tag instead of the strong tag, visible HTML tabling, frames and anything else that makes the site look bad. Half the problem comes from search bots failing to properly index your site, since they're guided by your coding. The other half comes from the fact that bad coding makes your site ugly and slow to load, so people won't want to stick around.

Bad Titles: Search engines display your titles as links back to your site. If the title says "Index," that doesn't tell anyone a thing. Why should they click through? Search engines also give titles a great deal of weight when judging keyword relevance. Don't stuff your titles with keywords but don't avoid using them, either.

Black Hat SEO Nonsense:Invisible links and keywords! Keyword stuffing! Auto-generated doorway pages! They all suck; Google likes to kick offenders several hundred positions back, if not ban them entirely. Nowadays, major search engines have very smart bots, capable of identifying human-generated content and appropriate keyword density. Don't annoy them.

No Web 2.0: If your site doesn't have any social media tools or connections, it's automatically at a disadvantage. Get a blog, at least. Add buttons that let your visitors report interesting content to social aggregators like Technorati and Digg.

Too Much Flash: Bots can't read Flash. Maybe they'll be able to some day, but for now Flash is programming code (as opposed to simple markup) that doesn't display its content (what you see) in any bot-readable fashion. For SEO purposes, using Flash on a page is like tossing it in the trash - most of the time. This article shows you a workaround that adds readable content to a flash page. (Hint: The solution is basically, "Put HTML on the same page.")

Your Content's Boring: You can have the most technically search-optimized site in the world, but if real people don't want to read any of it, it will never improve by much. Search engines want sites that people want to visit. Ethical SEO is as much about increasing this "organic" appeal as good coding.

You Copied Your Content: Search engines prefer original content. If bots see virtually identical blocks of text they credit whatever page they think was the original and downgrade the rest. The black hat technique known as "scraping" steals other site's content, but it never works like the original. You don't have to be a scraper to make this mistake though. If you bought most of your content from a prefab source or through an affiliate scheme you'll suffer the same problems. This isn't just for text, either. Copied design elements aren't rated as highly either.

Whether you have a business with a physical location and a website both or yours is a business existing only in the online world, you need to take advantage of search engine optimization to maximize the potential of the web for your business. The internet is a vast place, which is why search engines like Google are needed to get around. To find the information you are trying to find online, you need these search engines. You want to make sure that search engines can find your site easily, you need to use search engine optimization so that those looking for what you have to offer will find your site and not the competition.

What is Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine Optimization (or SEO) is a way of making your site show up higher in the search results returned by the search engines. This is done through keyword optimization, relevant content and link building. Search engines use various standards to determine the ranking of pages in search results and having yours on the first page means you will have a lot more traffic coming to your site than if your site shows up 10 pages in.

The Benefits

Given that search engines are the number one way that people search for information on the internet, it should not be too big of a surprise that most of the purchases made online happen after the buyer finds the product via a search engine query. A lot of people simply click the first link which comes up in their results and look no further. This is why your business needs to show up as high as possible in the search engine rankings. Your site could easily be lost in the ocean of other sites, which means you must use search engine optimization in order to get your website noticed.

Website Optimization

There are a few steps you can take to make sure that people who are searching for products or services that you offer find your website. One is keyword optimization, your content should reflect closely what you are offering to the public, with enough content there to be noticed by search engines. If you create content which is relevant to your industry, you greatly increase the odds of your site being found.

Link Building

Another way to get your site noticed by search engines is link building. Part of the criteria search engines use to rank sites is the number of links to your site on the web. You can increase this number by submitting articles to directories (each of which will contain a link to your website in the resource box), listing your site in industry specific directories and using your URL as part of your signature when you post on web forums. The more links to your site that exist, the more relevance search engines will ascribe to your site.

Search engine optimization is vital to the health of your online business. There are a lot of advantages to being seen as any business owner will tell you to make sure that you are seen online as well.

Visitors to your Website are not only browsing information and articles, pictures, or videos, but they will find an assortment of AdSense links to click through. Your AdSense revenue will depend on how valuable these links are, and how strategically they are placed on your site. Even when visitors to your site are just browsing, adding the convenience of a search engine directly on the site can help them stay longer and find more information. Your visitors can find a significant amount of information by clicking on your advertiser links; by adding a complete search engine right on the site, you can improve and increase your traffic simply. Your Google AdSense account can help you take part in the Google Co-Op program in just a few easy steps.

Boosting your AdSense revenue is easy and profitable with the help of a Google search engine. When visitors on your site use your own unique search engine to find more information, any click-throughs from the results can mean revenue directly to you. All you have to do is log in to your AdSense account and copy the code for a search engine box. It's that simple. Your Google Co-Op Website can help you create a customized search engine box that will fit best within your site. Since it's customized, you'll still benefit from keeping things consistent on every page of your Website.

Search engines on your site give your visitors a chance to refine the niche you've targeted, and help you create some strong individual ads that might generate leads. The program is a development of the Google Co-op program, allowing users to create a customized search engine that restricts results based on your own parameters. Because of the customization feature, the ads that are produced and revealed have a much stronger contextual presence.

Capitalizing on the basic search engine function is easier than ever with Google's customized search engine and the Google Co-Op program. You'll find a higher chance of visitors who can make use of your site; they might even stay longer! The power of Google's community-based program naturally creates a network of links and advertisers. Signing up is easy through your AdSense account, and there are plenty of options to create customized colors and layouts to stay consistent with your site's design. Your visitors can stay on your site for longer than usual, because they have something else to browse and research. Any click-throughs from the resulting search page are credited to you; the Google search box is a valuable feature for almost all AdSense-based Websites.

Seth Willis Jr. is the webmaster for an experienced internet marketer and has a lot of expertise with AdSense." I created AdSense school so that I could help others who are starting out and needed a resource and tutorial site to get started, the school is completely free and there for anyone with a desire to learn how to make an income using Adsense."

- Start with the 336 x 280 large rectangle. For most people it gets the most clicks!

- The second best is the 300 x 250 rectangle (test each one for one week and monitor your results)

- Try a banner for a week and replace it for a half banner (234 x 60) the following week and compare results

- A half banner works better in the middle of the page and fits in more spaces.

- For the most part, a half banner is effective at the end of articles and the bottom of blog entries

- Generally, avoid the 468 x 60 banner ad block. Unless you place text around it and no borders so it blends.

- Place ads right after an article link so that the ads look like part of the site.

- If you like rectangles, place them at the beginning of articles.

- Wrapping the text around the ad works because it compels the reader to look at it if he wants to read the article.

- Try placing two rectangular ads right at the top of the page. Many times this brings more earnings.

- Buttons work really well when placed in side bars. (i.e. at the end of your menu)

- Wide skyscraper, text-only ads invariably, work better on the right hand edge of the screen. Testing has also shown that ads on the right perform best.

- Placing relevant quotes using highlighted text just below the heading and above a 336x280 ad is extremely effective. Highlighted text requires an HML code. You can find it at w3schools.com

Proper Ad Format

- Get rid of borders and pick a matching background color for the ad.

- The text size, font, color and the color of your ads must match the same text elements on your site.

- Always keep the AdSense title in blue text.

- Your URL must match the text description color.

Monitor your ads frequently and try different placements until you find the one that brings you more revenues.

Made for your Online Success

The Google AdSense program is an easy way to generate loads of income through a web site. People need to sign up for the program and within a few days, if Google accepts their application, they receive an email with login information.

The simplicity of the Google AdSense program lies in its strengths and weaknesses. All that aspirants need to do is to simply get the HTML code from their account and assign it into the web page. Once they do this, content AdSense ads begin to pop on their web site and every time a person clicks it, they receive a commission. The amount of money that a site owner makes depends on the particular ad clicked by visitors.

The proper way to make use of the Google AdSense program is to establish a web site with ample information with tactically placed AdSense ads, so that it brings in money whenever visitors click on such ads. When a site owner's account reaches $100, Google sends a check to the owner within 30 days.

How Does Google AdSense Work?

Web site owners receive a commission from Google when visitors click on their advertisements, placed on the web pages containing text. For instance, if a web site is all about lawn mowing, then it is more likely to have ads from lawn mowers or retailers on that web page. When a visitor clicks on those advertisements, the advertisers pay Google, who compensates to the web site owner. Google AdSense proves beneficial to advertisers, site hosts as well as site visitors and is an ideal sample of virtual marketing.

However, Google follows an extremely strict process. For instance, site owners do not have any rights to click on their own ads. If they do so, Google can terminate their AdSense account permanently. Similarly, site owners cannot ask other people to click on their ads. The best part of Google AdSense is that, site owners do not need to cheat, since it is easy to make money by simply following the AdSense rules.

In addition, if site owners wish to have more money in their pockets, from the Google AdSense Program, they should invest a little effort into learning all they can about Google AdSense and they should promote their site, for instance, writing quality content articles makes the search engines drive more targeted people to the web site. For this, it is necessary to have effective keywords and phrases, so that whenever visitors type in keywords, the intended site pops up. When site owners have ample of reliable information in their article, they are more likely to gain confidence of readers and eventually, readers tend to click on the ads placed in these web sites.

Overview:

Success of the Google AdSense program depends on the site owner's content and their knowledge of Google AdSense and a little hard work through site promotion. In addition, it renders text-based advertisements rather than banners. Google enjoys a vast amount of brand loyalty and creditability and hence, its AdSense program continues to beat other prevalent advertising networks enormously. If site owners with AdSense on their site wish to gain as much revenue as possible from the program then they should consider learning all they can about AdSense, they should consider becoming an AdSense Expert.

When I first decided to invest my time and energy into learning how to create my own online income, maybe like you, I had a certain amount of stress trying to find ways of doing it! The concepts of making money online or how to build my own money making website were all new to me. The theory behind tools like Google Adsense, Adwords and Yahoo Overture were unfamiliar as were the concepts of affiliate marketing, blogging for cash and all the other tools and techniques used for creating a successful online working from home business.

So I studied, bought e-books on how to make money online, studied some more and as a result learnt more and more about ways to generate an online income. However I was quite disappointed after spending weeks and weeks trying to make some money not to generate even one sale. Then I read this statement.

There is always a reason for how well you do, and that reason always relates to what you do and how you do it.

Once you realize this, then you know success really is do-able. Some people do succeed... big-time...but not necessarily the first time. Just keep trying until you find the right approach.

Everyone has a passion or interest. We have all had experiences in life, some good, some not so good. Which ever it is, you have within yourself something that is of great value and benefit to others. This page will help you tap into those areas of your life and show you how to channel that passion and motivation to making a successful home online business.

The key to success for selling online is to create valued content where there is demand. Your visitor doesn't want a sales pitch, they are not looking for hype or even media excellence, they are looking for relevant up-to-date content that is of value to them.

I can here some of you now saying, "I don't know the first thing about selling online". Well you are now in the same place I was when I first started. Although I don't claim to know everything there is to know about making money online, I can show you the process and some of the techniques which will help you get to where you want to be.

You are embarking upon a truly rewarding journey. Have no doubts -- this is "winnable" e-commerce. It's totally under your control.

Finding a Niche

Firstly lets do a little brainstorming to find those areas of your life that are possible ideas to build your business around. The few hours or so that you spend here, in preparation, will determine exactly how big your success will be. One of Site Sells statements about this stage of preparation is PREpare, Not REpair. Don't rush with process, you are not in a race, there is no stop watch ticking. Some careful planning and fine-tuning will pay you big dividends down the road. Ken Evoy (Director of Site Sell) has some excellent advice on how to find your subject niche! Ready? Good... lets continue and find your...

Passion

Passion makes work fun and easy...

• What is it that you love to talk about, read about?
• What is your hobby?
• What do you do for fun and games?
• What are your natural talents?

Don't forget to look right under your nose...

• What special body of knowledge have you learned from your job?
• What do you do day after day, without even thinking about it (eg. child-rearing, taking care of sick parents, renovation contractor, customs inspector).

Think about what you do in a typical day, and what you've learned from it...

• What sections of a bookstore or a magazine shop do you automatically gravitate toward?

• What kind of TV shows or movies do you tend to like most?

What activities do you enjoy most about your current occupation?...

• Is it research?
• Helping customers achieve their goals?
• Managing other people?
• Teaching or explaining things to others?
• Talking/selling on the phone?
• Organizing things?
• Making a process easier?
• Discovering or creating new products or services?
• Marketing products?

Problems are also a good source for ideas because problems need solutions!...

• What bugs you?
• What's tedious?
• What does not work?...

We all encounter obstacles, problems, and difficult people in the course of whatever it is that we do every day. What are the three biggest problems in your work place?

By now you should have a list of ideas which are all possible subjects to build your online business around. The next stage of our brainstorming stage is to prune that list to dig out the most profitable - high demand - low supply keywords.

To do this there are several tools you can use like http://wordtracker.com or Google's Keyword Research Tool. One of the tools I use is Search It!, a free tool from Site Build It which is linked and works together with wordtracker, yahoo overture and major search engines to bring you search statistics for keyword analysis.

We all find it easy to talk about things we love, but not many people know that people are willing to pay money for the acknowledge you have! This is the dawn of the net and by creating quality content around your HIGH DEMAND - LOW SUPPLY topic you could be earning money from what you know.

There are various things you can do to ensure that you are able to achieve the maximum possible number of clicks at your Adsense blog.

Many Adsense affiliates make every effort to get the most valuable Adsense keywords to use in their blog content, however ensuring that they are able to generate the maximum possible number of clicks is a little more challenging. Here is what to do.

a) Camouflage your Adsense ads so that they look as much a part of your blog as possible. You will be assured of a maximum number of clicks at your Adsense blog if your ads look more like links to additional information rather than ads. Of course they'll still be the 'Ads by Google' statement at the bottom of the ads and so folks will know deep inside that they are clicking on an Adsense ad.

b) Give all the valuable information that you can at your blog but ask new questions and leave them unanswered. The idea is to create hunger for even more information so that your readers will hopefully turn to the Adsense ads for answers, which will guarantee you the maximum amount of clicks at your Adsense blog.

c) Where you place your Adsense ads will have an impact on whether or not you will end up receiving the maximum amount of clicks at your Adsense blog. It will depend on the nature of your blog and your content, but generally speaking, the more prominent your Adsense ads the higher the chances of receiving the maximum possible clicks at your Adsense blog.

For the last couple of months, Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to making money online.

The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.

With all the people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit.

For some who are just new to this market, it would be a blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried somewhere in the little ads promoting other people's services. But then, when they get the idea that they are actually earning more money that way, all doubts and skepticism is laid to rest.

There are two major, and clever, factors that some successful webmaster and publishers are learning to blend together in order to make money easier using Adsense.

1. Targeting high traffic pages on your website. If you check on your logs, you will discover that many of your visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and ebooks that you are offering on your site. In simple words, your ads are working effectively and are generating more clicks. It also means more money for you.

2. Placing Adsense links on pages that are producing little, or better yet, no profit. By placing Adsense on a free resources page, you will reduce the amount of potential customers being lost to other sites. Tricky, but effective nonetheless.

When learned to work effectively, these two factors are actually a good source of producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. Many people are using this strategy to pick up some extra and cash with Adsense. This is also especially rewarding to informational sites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a monetary return on their services.

With the many techniques that people are now learning on how to make the easiest money by their Adsense, it is not surprising that Google is trying everything to update and polish their Adsense in order to maintain their good image.

The possibility of adding is 2nd tier in Adsense is not impossible. With all the people spending more time in their Adsense now and still more getting into this line of marketing, there is no doubt about the many new improvements yet to be made. Imagine the smiles on the faces of the webmasters and publishers all around the world if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or even triple the amount that they are already earning. The one particularly handy money-making feature that is available with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 urls. These gives webmasters the option to block out low value offers from their pages as well as competitors to their websites. Talk about taking only those that are advantageous and discarding the ones that seem useless.

With Google Adsense, the possibilities are limitless. Yet there is also the possibility of someone taking advantage of the easy money process that this internet marketing is doing. If you think more about it, these negative factors may force Google to break down and thrash Adsense in the process. If that happens, people would have to go back to the old ways of internet marketing that does not make money online as easy as Adsense.

For now, however, Google Adsense is here to stay. As long as there are people wanting to earn some easy cash online just using their talents, the future ahead is looking good. Besides with all the strict guidelines that Google is enforcing over Adsense, it will take awhile for the Adsense privileges to be spammed and even terminated.

If you have a blog, or are thinking about starting a blog, then you are definitely going to want to read this article. Its all about how to line your pockets with money thats just waiting to be made without working much harder than you already are.

No only are blogs the hottest thing on the net right now, but they are custom-made for Google's AdSense program. Why? Its simple. Blogs represent constantly changing and fresh content to Google's search engine spiders. Feeding fresh content to those little spiders is just like tossing raw meat to a tiger. They just gobble it up. The more pages of your blog that get indexed, the more traffic you get. And the more traffic you get, the more exposure your AdSense ads get. Are you beginning to see where I'm heading here?

Its not just Google that loves new content, all of the major engines do. In fact, some web-savvy bloggers are testing Google ads on one page and Overture ads on the other. It doesn't take too long to see which ads are doing the best when you have nearly side-by-side comparison statistics to look at. Just don't make the mistake of putting Google and Overture ads on the same page together. While they wont kill each other like a pair of Siamese fighting fish in the same bowel will, you will be violating both sites Terms of Service, and it isn't worth killing the goose (geese) that laid the golden egg.

Its a snap to set up Google AdSense ads on your blog. Everything you need to know is right inside of the Google control panel. Whats not so easy is figuring out what ads are going to appear on each page. Since Google targets your key words, and your blog articles could possible wander towards any subject, you never know what you're going to get.

Well, never is a strong word because there actually IS a way to pre-test your blogs ads before you post your newest edition. Heres what you do:

Write your blog article like you normally would Plug in your AdSense code and then post your newest page to a sub directory thats not part of your blog. Click refresh a few times until Google wakes up and starts sending ads. If you don't like what you see then fine-tune the article until you see the types of ads that you're looking for.

With some ads paying as much as $5 per click or more, Id certainly spend an extra 30 minutes or so tweaking my blog. Thats for sure.

If you're working hard to get your blog in front of visiting eyeballs, then it doesn't make any sense at NOT to be using Google AdSense to draw every penny out of your site thats possible. OK, thats the end of the article. Now get busy tweaking your blog and checking your ads. You've got money waiting to be made!

There are many challenges that we face as internet marketers. The challenges are especially huge for newbies who have a tremendous learning curve to overcome. There is so much to learn including but not limited to, html coding, css coding, how to purchase a domain etc...these things are huge mountains at first and only the truly tough survive.

It's so easy to bail out when you keep putting forth effort but see little in the way of results. However, most successful bloggers will tell you that if you hang in there you will eventually find your way and make it.

Once we get past the initial obstacles in our path to success we only find ourselves faced with even more obstacles. They are just a little more advanced. One of the most misunderstood aspects of internet marketing is keyword selection or keyword research. This is the process of deciding which keywords you will target with your blog.

Keywords are what searchers type into Google (or some other search engine) in order to find the information they are seeking. It is of the utmost importance that you target the right keywords with your blog and marketing campaign. If you fail to target the right keywords (like most of us did when we were new) then you will put lots of effort into your blog for nothing. Picking the wrong keywords can result in not getting traffic to your blog or, even more of a killer, getting traffic to your blog but not converting that traffic in to sales.

There are top level keywords and long tail keywords. Top level keywords are quite broad. Something like "credit cards" or "musical instruments" or perhaps "make money online" -these are all quite broad. Someone could type in 'musical instruments' for any number of reasons. These broad, top level keywords generally have lots of searches per month. Lots of traffic to be had if you can harness it. The problem with top level keywords is that they are extremely tough and frankly out of reach for most newbies.

On the other hand a 'long tail' keyword is actually more like a phrase. Something like "musical instruments for sale in Jackson Mississippi" is a long tail keyword. These are the kinds of keywords a newbie should target. They have much less competition because they have much less traffic. Yet that is exactly what make long tail keywords a practical choice. It is relatively easy to score a page one ranking for a long tail, and the longer the better!

It is not just about targeting the easiest and longest keyphrases but instead targeting keyphrases that are 'buyers' keyphrases. Tell me, what kind of traffic would you prefer at your site which sells gardening tools? Traffic that comes from people searching "gardening" or traffic that comes from people searching for, "cheap gardening tools near Palmer Massachusetts"...if you picked the latter then you would be picking the money keyword.

The more specific the search, the more ready the buyer is. They have already done their research and are ready to purchase. Words like cheap, discount and any geo targeted search are almost always money searches. By money searches I mean the folks doing the searching have their credit card in their hands and are fully intending to buy.

These are the kinds of keywords to target.

A GUIDE ON RSS TOOL

RSS is an abbreviation that has evolved into the following, depending on their versions:

· RDF Site Summary (also known as RSS 0.9; the first version of RSS)

· Rich Site Summary (also known as RSS 0.91; a prototype)

· Really Simple Syndication (also known as RSS 2.0)

Today, RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication', and it has the following 7 existing formats or versions:

· 0.90 · 0.91 · 0.92 · 0.93 · 0.94 · 1.0 · 2.0

RSS tools refer to a group of file formats that are designed to share headlines and other web content (this may be a summary or simply 1 to 2 lines of the article), links to the full versions of the content (the full article or post), and even file attachments such as multimedia files. All of these data is delivered in the form of an XML file (XML stands for eXtensible Markup Language), which has the following common names:

· RSS feed · Webfeed · RSS stream · RSS channel

They are typically shown on web pages as an orange rectangle that usually has the letters XML or RSS in it.

RSS feeds can be used to deliver any kind of information. Some of these 'feeds' include:

· Blogs feed - each blog entry is summarized as a feed item. This makes blog posts easier to scan, enabling 'visitors' to zoom in on their items of interest.

· Article feed - this alerts readers whenever there are new articles and web contents available.

· Forum feed - this allows users to receive forum posts and latest discussion topics.

· Schedule feed - this allows users (such as schools, clubs, and other organizations) to broadcast events and announce schedule changes or meeting agendas.

· Discounts or Special feed - this is used to enable users (such as retail and online stores) to 'deliver' latest specials and discounted offers.

· Ego or News Monitoring - this enables users to receive 'filtered' headlines or news that are based on a specific phrase or keyword.

· Industry-specific feed - used by technical professionals in order to market, promote, or communicate with current (and prospective) customers and clients within their specific industries.

RSS feeds enable people to track numerous blogs and news sources at the same time. To produce an RSS feed, all you need is the content or the article that you want to publicize and a validated RSS text file. Once your text file is registered at various aggregators (or 'news readers'), any external site can then capture and display your RSS feed, automatically updating them whenever you update your RSS file.

RSS tools are useful for sites that add or modify their contents on a regular basis. They are especially used for 'web syndication' or activities that involve regular updates and/or publications, such as the following:

· News websites - as used by major news organizations such as Reuters, CNN, and the BBC. · Marketing · Bug reports · Personal weblogs

There are many benefits to using RSS feeds. Aside from being a great supplemental communication method that streamlines the communication needs of various sectors, RSS tools and feeds can also have tremendous benefits in your business, particularly in the field of internet marketing.

RSS tools and feeds provide Internet users with a free (or cheap) and easy advertising or online marketing opportunity for their businesses. Below are some of the RSS features that can help make your internet marketing strategies more effective.

1. Ease in content distribution services. With RSS, your business can be captured and displayed by virtually any external site, giving you an easy way to 'spread out' and advertise them.

2. Ease in regular content updates. With RSS, web contents concerning your business can now be automatically updated on a daily (and even hourly) basis. Internet users will be able to experience 'real time' updates as information in your own file (such as new products and other business-related releases) is changed and modified simultaneously with that of the RSS feeds that people are subscribed to.

3. Custom-made content services. With RSS, visitors can have personalized content services, allowing them total control of the flow and type of information that they receive. Depending on their interests and needs, visitors can subscribe to only those contents that they are looking for (such as real estate or job listings).

4. Increase in (and targeted) traffic. With RSS, traffic will be directed to your site as readers of your content summary (or 1 to 2 lines of your article) who find them interesting are 'forced' to click on a link back to your site.

These are just several of the many things that you can do with RSS. The possibilities are endless, and they are all aimed at providing you with an effective internet marketing strategy for your business.

Social bookmarks are a way for internet users to store, organize, search, share and manage web pages on the internet that they find of interest. They replace the traditional method of browser-based system of folders by encouraging users to organize their bookmarks with tags. Social bookmarking means storing your bookmarks online, tagging them, and sharing them online with other users.

Users from all over the world bookmark sites or specific pages using their favorite social bookmarks. They can search through their bookmarks by keywords or by tags, and can access their bookmarks from any internet connection. Almost all social bookmark sites have the same basic features like browser bookmarklets for one-click link saving, RSS feeds, tags and sharing capabilities.

In a bookmarking system, users save links to web pages they want to remember or share by the use of RSS feeds. These bookmarks can then be organized into a list of tags that describe what the site is about. People are always searching for information, and search is probably the most important application on the web for surfers to find what they are looking for. Search engines give more relevancy to sites that have been recently modified or have added new content.

This is where social bookmarks are one step ahead, notifying users when a site has been updated through the use of the RSS feeds. Instead of going into a search engine, typing something in, you can quickly narrow down the items to what you are looking for by searching the tags. You can even search through what other people have bookmarked as long as they remain public. So, what started out as a way to send bookmarks to friends has really grown into social search engines.

Social bookmark sites allow others to see your bookmarks and comment about them, creating interactivity among bookmark users. Social bookmarking is all about the collective voice and the power of the people. As these services have matured and grown more popular, they have added extra features such as ratings and comments on bookmarks, the ability to import and export bookmarks from browsers, emailing of bookmarks, web annotation, and groups or other social network features. A social bookmarking system can rank a resource, or website, based on how many times it has been bookmarked by users, whereas conventional search engines rank resources based on the number of external links pointing to it.

Social technologies are here to stay, and are already growing in popularity. Social bookmarks continue to be one of the driving forces of this evolving web. It is all about labeling the web, making it easier to find the content that you're looking for by passing on what you've found. For users, social bookmark sites can be useful as a way to access a consolidated set of bookmarks from various computers, organize large numbers of bookmarks, and share bookmarks with contacts. Social bookmarking can allow you to share the sites that you own to others with relevant tastes, driving traffic to your site, and creating valuable backlinks.

Traffic is the fuel that drives your online business so you would need to get this part of your online business right in order to be successful. In this article I will go over 3 important tips when driving traffic to your website.

1. Tightly Target Your Prospects- The first and best thing you can do for your traffic strategy is to tightly target your prospects online, by that I mean that you need to make sure that any offer you are extending to a particular group of people is applicable and relevant to that groups wants and needs.

This will allow them to want to take you up on your offer and will increase revenue for you in the long run. You do not want to mass market online because it is rarely effective.

2. Track and Test Every Traffic Source- Once you have found a small group of people that you will be targeting, your next step is to make sure you are keeping proper tabs on that particular type of traffic. This will allow you to know if the traffic source is performing as expected. The second thing you want to do here is to test the source, you can create two different versions of the same offer and see which one people respond better to over an extended period of time.

3. Attach A Monetary Unit Of Measurement- Make sure you attach a way of measuring your traffic in monetary terms, this will allow you to know how much you are spending to produce a specific result. It will also help you to better understand your advertising budget and help you to better control it.

Pittsburgh search engine optimization is an interesting topic which seems to have a lack of information on that potential customers of can read about. So I wanted to review what-it-is and how it can seriously increase your sales and website traffic. So let us begin with some definitions, I feel it's important that we start with a definition so that we are both on the same page and you don't get lost with what I'm talking about.

Search engine optimization (call SEO for short) is a process of making changes and adjustments to a website to product the effect of ranking or be positioned higher on search engines for targeted search keywords/phrases. The process, most of the time, starts with research and analysis of the website being optimized, company, competition, and rate a search term is being search for - to determine what the best search keywords to target will be. This in itself can be a length process but it's an essential step toward winning.

Next factors on and off of the website are reviewed for effectiveness with these chosen target search terms. These factors are usually group into two categories "on page" meaning those factors actually on the website itself that effect search positioning and "off page" meaning those factors that effect search positioning that are not actually physically on the website.

On page factors include such things as how may times the target search term appears in the text of the website. Where off pages factors include such things as how many quality links you have going to your website from other websites.

To list all of the factors would be very long and most likely would not be beneficial to this introductory article on search engine optimization. So just keep in mind that there is a nice sized list of factors that effect ranking and it's the job of a search engine marketer to handle each of these factors appropriately.

Addressing these factors can be a time lengthly process. For most search engines updating there search able databases takes time. This time lag effects the process of optimizing a website. For example, if some factors are changed on a website, in order for these changes to be seen in the search engines and effect positioning for targeted term one would have to wait till the next time the search engine update it's data on that website. As well factors that are not located on your website can take additional time to update in the search engine's search database - for example if you got several links from a few other websites you'll have to wait for each of those web site's data to be updated in the search engines before those links will count towards your site. (FYI, the link will get counted as soon as that site linking to you is updated in the search engine you don't have to wait for all of the sites to be updated in order for the links to count.) And but since all websites on the web are not updated in search engines at the same time on a frequent schedule (there updated based on separate schedules, some of which are monthly or longer) you can see how a big waiting game can ensue.

Links are one of the most important parts of successfully running a search engine optimization campaign. As a matter of fact, having well-placed links will do a lot to help to push your website to the top of the search engine result pages for the keywords of your choice. Although there are many different ways for you to acquire these links, there are some ways which are almost automated in nature. By taking advantage of every aspect of your link building campaign, you can not only get your website listed in the search engines quickly, you can also be benefited by the incoming links for a long time to come.

One of the easiest forms of linking that exists is that which is found in directory submissions. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of directories for you to choose from on the Internet where you can post a link to your website. Some of these directories are free to post links and others charge a fee, either a one time fee or a recurring fee. It is up to you to decide if it is worth the effort to post to the free directories and if it is worth the cost to post to some of the paid directories.

Some of the paid directories are very important for you to be listed in, regardless of what the price is. This is especially the case if you are a little bit experienced with search engine optimization and are fairly confident in your ability to get your website listed well on the search engines from your efforts. Some of the paid directories that you want to make sure you're part of include Yahoo and Joeant.com. Yahoo is fairly expensive at $299 a year but by having a link in the Yahoo Directory, you will be giving your SEO efforts of major shot in the arm. Popular directories such as Joeant are an excellent way for you to position yourself with some back links as well.

Submitting your website to the free directories is also an excellent way to give yourself a boost in the SERPS as well as getting yourself listed on the search engines initially. Google does not necessarily give as much weight to these free search engine submissions but remember, Google is not the only kid on the block. Yahoo also has the ability to send you a massive amount of traffic if you're positioned well in their search engine results and MSN can send you traffic as well. Each of these lesser search engines will place a lot of weight on many incoming links from these free directories.

All in all, submitting to directories, whether free or paid is an excellent way to set yourself up for success in your search engine optimization efforts. Make sure, however, that you don't stop with just a few simple directory submissions. Make it a part of your overall efforts to continue improving on your rankings in the search engines.

Many webmasters think of SEO as if it is something you have to do long term. First of all you do not have to optimize your website for a dozen keywords to get enough visitors. Some want to get top rankings quickly for all the keywords they can.

That is not an easy task to do if there is a lot of competition for those keywords.

You just have to optimize your website for one keyword only. It can be and is enough if you choose a keyword which gets a lot of traffic. In almost any niche, there are tons of keywords that receive exceptional traffic.

Ok, you may have just started with SEO, and you cannot go for that big keyword right from the start. Then choose only two which have not much competition but a lot of traffic still. This means you have to make good keyword research.

What is a keyword that receives an expectational number of traffic?

A keyword with 10,000 or more visitors a day.

What is a keyword that receives a lot of traffic?

A keyword with 300 or more visitors a day.

Aim for those keywords. Planning is required and very important. You can calculate how much money you can expect to make if you get the number one position for a keyword which gets 300 visitors a day.

Most websites conversion ratio is one sale every three hundred visitors. That is without hiring a copy writer. A decent website in other words makes will earn a sale a day if it gets 300 visitors a day.

This will help you find those keywords to make the amount of money you wish. Like I said this requires some thinking or planning, not just using a free keyword tool and picking up a bunch of looking good keywords.

Remember that you will be stuck with this keyword for a month or two maybe, optimizing your website for it. So it will not be easy then to switch to another keyword, you will have been getting all those backlinks with that keyword in the anchor text, now you have to start from scratch if you pick up a new keyword. I am not saying those backlinks will be useless.

They will still give your rankings a benefit.

You do keyword research only once, so it is good idea to do it properly. Then start optimizing your website knowing that you are going to get this or that amount of traffic once you achive top rankings. Knowing also you will make this or that amount of money with that traffic. You have a plan you can follow.

What keyword tools do you use?

This depends on your needs, your budget and how good you are in SEO. If it is difficult to find good keywords in your niche using a free keyword tool, you may want to test drive a paid tool.

However, with a free keyword tool it should be enough. Some mention finding those keywords that have no competition, which we can call them strange keywords. This is a good thing to do. Probably you need a paid tool to find these keywords. I do recommend doing this, because you can find some hidden gems.

So doing keyword research properly is very important. It is like you are researching the fastest way to get high rankings.

The most crucial part as far as a website is concerned is consistent flow of traffic into the website. There are a lot numbers of ways to woo traffic into our website ranging from paid services such as advertisements, Pay per Click (PPC) campaign and few more, to completely free methods. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a free way to get traffic to you website. There are numbers of factors that will affect your positions in search engines. However, if we manage to give extra attention to 3 crucial elements of On Page SEO techniques, we should be able to see decent flow of traffic into our websites.

1. Keyword Density

This is the most important element that cannot be overlooked when it comes to SEO techniques. Some people go overboard by doing "keyword stuffing'' which means they use the same keyword or key phrase over and over again in a web article. Don't be surprised if your website is pushed deeper inside the search engine result pages (SERPs). Search engines especially Google will not tolerate any technique that adversely affects the quality of their SERPs.

There is no precise percentage of keyword usage when we talk about keyword density, but it should be between 5% to 17%. There are many sites that can do the calculation for you. So you don't have to do it manually.

This on-page optimization technique is in its best shape if you put your main keyword in your title. Make sure the title is bold and properly formatted with H1 or H2 tag. Your keywords must be included in the first sentence so that it will appear as a short description on SERPs.

2. ALT Tags

A picture is worth a thousand words. Unfortunately it is only valid to human eyes and pictures carry no information to search engine spiders. In order to assist the readability of the spiders, we must insert some sort of description or keywords inside the "ALT tag". Basically ALT tag is used to describe images in text. As far as keyword density is concerned, the same applies to "alt tag"; do not put excessive keyword stuffing.

3. Content Is King

Content is without a doubt is the primary ingredient in deciding where your website position in search engines should be. Never go for duplicate content. Search engines have rapidly evolved to make sure less and less splogs (spam blogs) from zeroing in on search engine result pages. Search engine really value the presence of fresh unique content as they are much inclined to provide fresh and useful information to the internet users.

The rule of thumb in making sure your website to be placed decently at the search engines is to have an article of around 400 - 500 words. The longer your article, the better your page chance of getting better place. An article contains of 1 or 2 paragraphs will lack in development of ideas. Most importantly, with the existence of abundance of millions and billions of articles on the internet, the probability of your short article to have similarity with other articles is pretty high.

Please bear mind, there are still a lot more tips to further optimize your ranking in search engines but these are the early and crucial steps in getting your website better and better ranking. As the search engine algorithms keep changing from time to time, it is advisable for you to facilitate your own study by observing how changes you made affect your website ranking. This way you will learn better on how to get along with search engines needs.

The best online business is the one that will demand little of your time and leave you with high profits. Affiliate marketing definitely remains one of the best options, and article marketing -along with an automatic article submitter- the weapon of choice when it comes to one way link building.

If you are familiar with article marketing, you are well aware of its importance within today's online marketing strategies. A great number of article directories are highly regarded by Google, so they can provide you with a huge Google boost through one way link building, ultimately creating the best online business (one that ranks first in Google and goes on autopilot).

In order to get actual results from article marketing as part your online marketing strategies and achieve significant one way link building, you need to submit your articles to at least 400 article directories. Indeed, this strategy will help you develop the best online business you can imagine, but you have to go for the big numbers, and an automatic article submitter is definitely the answer to achieve massive one way link building and high Google rank.

Doing this by hand is possible, but it will take about 8-10 minutes per article-per directory, so without an automatic article submitter article marketing can turn into a real pain that will do little for your online marketing strategies and will not render any significant one way link building.

Do the math: one article marketing campaign comprised of 6 articles means 10 minutes x 6 articles x 400 directories = 2400 minutes (40 hours) of your time, whereas an automatic article submitter will do it in just 1-2 hours; that means more one way link building per minute and time to develop more important areas of your online marketing strategies. Time efficiency is the best online business.

Therefore, an automatic article submitter is a must in order to achieve significant one way link building, which is what will ultimately deliver a high Google rank and a big kick in your quest to create the best online business. Indeed, considering that the best online business is the one that will claim less time and render more profits, and that article marketing is an essential part of any successful set of online marketing strategies, you simply can't go on with any online marketing effort without and automatic article submitter that ensures massive one way link building.

In fact, I'd dare to say any set of online marketing strategies involving article marketing should not even be considered if you don't have the help on an automatic article submitter. Creating the best online business is simply a matter of smart and time efficient choices, so whatever you do make sure you achieve massive one way link building by including an automatic article submitter within your online marketing strategies portfolio.

3 Ways to Get Backlinks

Posted by kiran | 8:33 PM

We all know that without traffic, your Internet business will do nothing. Backlinks, acting like large roadside signs pointing to your blog, will direct new visitors to your blog and give your blog the needed exposure. I will discuss three ways to get backlinks pointing to your blogs.

Submit your blog post to social directories - This will quickly get backlinks to your blog. when done properly, a submission to Stumble Upon and Digg will create many backlinks and huge amounts of traffic.

Article marketing - Article marketing is still a great way to create traffic and back links to your website and for the most part is free. Just make sure your author bio box is well written and includes links to your blog. This is what gets the links to your blog as most article submission sites don't allow direct links. If they do then link away in the article also.

Post comments - A very effective and easy way to create backlinks is to comment on blogs that are related to yours. If people like your comment, they will most likely go to your blog to read more of your material. One great way to create back links is Posting comments in other people's blogs. Every time you post you are able to include your name and your website address in some comments. Try to include your primary keyword in the name if you can.

These are three ways to get backlinks to your blog. None of them are hard and they don't take a long time to do. Once you start doing them regularly, it will become second nature to you, just like watching all the traffic coming to your blog. I hope this helps you in your endeavor to make money on line and improve your Internet business and blog.

Organic SEO

Posted by kiran | 8:31 PM

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a term associated with web pages and their rankings. It is a technique incorporated into web pages to improve their rankings in the major search engines. An effective SEO technique when implemented can list a web page earlier or higher in search engine listings, thus increasing the traffic to your web page with users who are searching with a specific keyword, phrase or topic. Various algorithms are implemented to catch the attention of major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft's Live Search. One such optimization technique is the organic SEO.

SEO professionals use different optimization techniques with web pages such as text optimization, image optimization, flash optimization and geographic optimization. Flash optimization works around recoding HTML codes in flash to get pages with majority flash content to be search engine friendly. This is one of the latest optimization techniques in SEO. Earlier it was difficult for search engines to read and index pages with flash content. Geographic optimization is aimed to include web pages in search listings for users who are searching for services in a particular county, city or state.

SEO services can be implemented either as a stand-alone service or as part of online marketing. The strategy often involves adding specific keywords and meta-tags to pages. SEO professionals can embed these tags within HTML codes in such a way that they will be indexed by crawler programs used by search engines to list pages.

Two major approaches in web page optimization are the white hat SEO (Organic SEO) and black hat SEO. The white hat SEO implements algorithms in an 'organic' or 'natural' manner according to the ethical standards in coding. These algorithms are designed to maintain the higher search rankings and will be effective for a long period. On the contrary, the black hat SEO employs fake techniques aimed at getting an immediate ranking, but the rankings will be temporary and will have a shorter life span.

A good SEO consultant team can review and recommend modifications to be made in existing design and content. They can also design and implement pages from scratch, with search engine optimization techniques incorporated. Quality copywriting services along with unique design, easy navigation aids and marketing services are all part of effective SEO.

All major search engines are supporting organic SEO methods implemented in web pages. The majority of web pages being listed in major search results are those which have implemented effective SEO services. A small investment in effective Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques will eventually make your web page more conspicuous and operate in a highly competitive and profitable manner with great returns guaranteed.

SEO Articles are designed to draw traffic to your website by giving you a higher position on Search Engine rankings. The motto of SEOs has long been 'Content is King', but I'm of the opinion that good content is not enough. Content needs subtly optimizing and in line with SEO strategies. Content needs to be original and regularly refreshed in order to get the most attention from Google's spiders. I've put together a list of 10 top tips.

TIP 1: PLAN AHEAD: Plan your Keywords out in advance and then strategically place them throughout the article. Don't try to stuff them in at the end; it will make the SEO article nonsensical. Never over-stuff your article with Keywords; the Search Engines are designed to avoid duplication. Try not to use your Keyword more than two or three times, but always try to use a keyword at the beginning and end of the article. The main Keyword should be in the title.

TIP 2: WRITE FOR THE READER: If you are only writing the article for a Search Engine to 'read' the chances are that you'll write a dull and uninspiring article. Remember people do read these articles and they all add to your credibility. Write about what you know, show yourself to be an expert with proven skills.

TIP 3: GOOD GRAMMAR: Always double-check your SEO articles for grammar and spelling issues. Poorly spelt articles with weak grammar will badly damage your credibility.

TIP 4: KEEP IT BRIEF: Don't use more words than you need to get the job done. You should aim for no more than 1000 words and no less than 250 words. Keep your paragraphs short too, no more than five or six lines.

TIP 5: KNOW YOUR STUFF: It's essential that what you write is accurate. Many people will not trust writers who have not worked in the area on which they are writing. However, a good article writer can write on any subject, if they do their research. The Internet is a powerful research tool, but don't take everything that's written there to be fact. Check your facts before submitting the article.

TIP 6: HAVE AN OPINION: No one said that you had to write neutrally about every subject. It's okay to have an opinion. Just remember that people may not agree with you and a grossly out of touch opinion may damage your credibility. Nonetheless, it may bring you more traffic and higher rankings. That's not an encouragement to be outrageous though.

TIP 7: BOAST ABOUT BENEFITS: Don't worry about features, always talk about benefits. These help sell whatever you are writing about to the reader because they want to know what's in it for them. Features are what you offer, benefits connect to the reader's inbuilt selfishness.

TIP 8: HYPE YOUR LINKS: If you can embed some quality hyperlinks into your work, you will benefit from drawing more general interest. Furthermore, the Search Engine's spiders have a great chance of finding your site by linking to quality websites.

TIP 9: WRITE LOTS OF ARTICLES: Okay, this one is rather simple and obvious, but the greater number of keyword optimized, credible and well-written, hyperlinked articles that you have all pointing to the website of your choice, the better chance that the Search Engines will find it.

TIP 10: CALL TO ACTION: End your well-written article with a call for the reader to take action. The idea of most articles is to have the impressed reader click your link and go to your website. See below for an excellent example.

Web industry has changed a lot over the years. As search engines like Google are continuously developing into bigger and more advanced search service providers, so is changing all online business models.

It is no more about publishing a website to cater information to the world wide audience and the recent trend is to select a specific target audience rather than going for everyone. You can decide upon which geographical location you want to target.

How this is possible?

There are normally two segments of business models - in one part you have the whole world as your target audience or readers and on the other part your target audience is limited within a single geographical location. Now you may decide on what you want to do depending on your business model.

For example, if you are a local service provider like a lawyer, there is hardly any need to reach the whole world to generate business. A lot of Law Firms are targeting their local market and optimizing their website accordingly. They are trying to focus more on local search results provided by the major search engines.

To add to this, those who want to get immediate business are going all out for paid inclusion programmes like Google AdWords or Yahoo search marketing solutions.

So what is your plan?

Lets take a look at the story of Colten Werner Esq. He did not have enough budget to go for traditional advertising when he just started his own Law Firm. One of his friends advised him to start a website to get more business.

Ho contacted a local developer to create his website. However, he did not get enough visitors to his website in the initial days. By the time he started reading about search engine optimization and promotion. He tried some search engine optimization tips on his own and had some good results. But he could hardly manage time to develop and promote his website further.

He was sure about the potential of his website and knew very well how other law firms in his locality were doing. He contacted a search engine marketing company that optimized the website for local market. He stared getting lots of visits very soon and his business improved a lot.

So, when he wanted to get more business, he moved forward to try direct advertisement programmes like Google AdWords. He targeted the most competitive keywords to get the cream from the market. He was amazed with the ROI and his business is now growing beyond his expectations.

This is not the story of Coltent alone that used local search optimization and marketing to get more clients. Most of the local service providers are using internet to reach niche market in a cost effective way. They are doing this because their target market is there in the web and ROI is much higher than other formats.

Before you go out to try Google AdWords or other similar plans I have something to say - do not put all your eggs in a single basket - distribute your advertisement budget among different providers and consult an expert in the direct advertisement industry (commonly known as PPC experts)
